Getting started
Is there a free trial?
Yes. It is a 30-day free trial for up to 5 screens with all Premium features, and no credit card is needed. The 30 days start when your first screen connects. The trial is for new accounts without a purchased license.
Is this the free Samsung license?
No. Samsung does not give you a free hosted MagicInfo service, and a license key from Samsung or a reseller is not something you enter here. MiCloud is a hosted service: we run the MagicInfo server and you pay per display after the trial. Your display connects to our server address, 7007.me.
What is the difference between RM, Lite and Premium?
- RM ($4.95/mo per display): remote management only: monitoring, remote control, group management, health alerts.
- Lite ($13.49/mo per display): basic content, simple scheduling, media uploads.
- Premium ($29.99/mo per display): Lite plus content creation, playlists, advanced scheduling, analytics and advanced remote management.
Prices are in US dollars. Current prices are always on the pricing page.
Which Samsung displays work?
Samsung commercial displays that run MagicInfo, mainly Tizen models. See supported displays. If in doubt, send us the model number.
Tizen or SSSP: which do I have?
SSSP is the older name for Samsung's Smart Signage Platform; current commercial displays run Tizen. Find the model name on the label or in the display's Support menu, then check the guide. Menu names vary slightly by model.
Connecting screens
What do I type on the display?
Menu > Network > Server Network Settings > Connect to Server. Server address 7007.me, TLS "Use" (on older models this setting is called SSL), Port 443. Type only 7007.me, without https://. After you save, the screen shows it as https://7007.me by itself; that is correct. Tip: type 7007 with the number keys on the remote; you only need the on-screen keyboard for “.me”. MagicInfo Mode is in the same Server Network Settings menu. If MagicInfo Mode can be changed, set it to match your plan (Premium or Lite). On some models it is set automatically and shown greyed out. Step by step: How to connect a display.
Other guides say port 7001 or 7002. Why not you?
Generic guides describe other servers. Ours uses port 443 with TLS on, so use that. See firewall and ports.
My display will not connect. What first?
Check the address for typos, TLS on, port 443, and that the display's date and time are correct. The full checklist is in Samsung screen won't connect.
How does screen approval work?
Add the display first with "Add display" on your license page, by serial number or MAC address. Then set the server on the display. The status shows Awaiting until the display is approved. New screens are approved automatically, usually within a minute or two. A screen that was registered to another account first gets a short check by our team.
Money
How do I pay?
By card, PayPal, or SEPA transfer / international bank wire. The bank details for a transfer are printed on your invoice.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes. A PDF invoice is created automatically and e-mailed to you when you order or renew a plan. It is issued by VIDOS Semeniouk (Begnins, Switzerland).
How long is a license, and what happens when it ends?
A license runs for a fixed period that you choose when you order (1, 3, 6 or 12 months), paid in advance. When it ends, the license is deactivated and your displays lose their connection to the server. Renew from your dashboard before the end date.
Account and support
I cannot log in to MagicInfo. Is it the same as my MiCloud login?
No. The MiCloud console (where you buy licenses and add displays) and the MagicInfo web interface are separate accounts. See login and password reset.
What languages are supported?
The website, guides, console sign-in and registration, and e-mails are in English, German, French and Spanish, in the language you use when you register. Some console messages and older accounts may still show English. The MagicInfo web interface has its own language setting.
I run my own MagicInfo server. Can you move me to MiCloud?
Yes. We help you migrate your on-premises MagicInfo to our cloud. How it works and how to reach us: Migrate your MagicInfo server to MiCloud.
